I'm still here

I thought I'd drop by and bring you some flowers. I have been absent from blog world since the end of August. I apologize if I worried anyone. A few folks emailed. There were some comments that stayed in my dashboard and I just saw them today. I appreciate those of you who reached out to me.

I have been blogging for 4 years. I think I came to a time when I realized that my blog was getting away from the vision I had. My vision doesn't exactly match up with my tech skills, but that's just the way it is. I have met so many wonderful people by blogging at Everyday Ruralty. I made a decision to get back to the blog. But why did I disappear for two months with no warning?

I had considered a blogging break, but one morning I realized that I just needed time to myself. I fear I'd gotten a bit "blue". Depression? That's such a big word compared to the word " blue". This wasn't the kind of thing that was too extreme, but things overwhelmed me too easily. I tend to have too many irons in the fire at any given time. I forget to do things for ME. Lots of thought and lots of prayer helped. Acupuncture, which I was using for something else, helped with the moods. Essential Oils helped too. Oddly enough, I wasn't feeling physically well one day. I realized that the Lyme Disease, I have dealt with for several years, had returned. As soon as I got back on meds, the depression (or blues) lifted. Wow! It was more than just depression. Best of all- it's gone.

Now that my Eeyore cloud is gone, you will see more of me. Me, too! Remember the world's handsomest Wendell horse? Yes. I go where Patrice goes. I'm glad she's not digressed anymore. She said she was blue, but I could only see flesh color with freckles. I wonder if she's an Appaloosa. I missed everybody, so I flood the blog world with horsey hugs. Quick! Grab one.

At this time, I will not be starting up with Chats. After 154 Chats, the well of questions ran dry! I managed 770 questions during its run. I enjoyed visiting with each and every one of you.

I'll see you very soon. me,too

  4. Hi Patrice! Sorry you've been suffering the 'blues' - I totally understand as I've been much the same. So pleased to read though that like me you are feeling better. Looking forward to getting back myself and reading more of your delightful posts.

  5. Well, welcome back! I agree with you about making wonderful friends through blogging. Every time I think about stepping away from the keyboard, I realize I will miss my friends, and the opportunity to meet more friends, too much.
I am so glad that you are feeling better. I've heard terrible things about Lyme Disease - it really wrecks havoc on its victims. Glad the meds have put you back on the right track.
I have missed Wendell, too. He has a special place in my heart!

  9. Indeed, you were missed! I can empathize, though. I go through times of this, too. I am so glad you are feeling more "pink" now! Hugs to you and my favourite horse, Mr. Wendell.

  10. Oh, how awesome to see your comment on my blog. I'm so glad you figured out what the trouble was with your health....and your mood! I've suffered from depression in the past and I can so relate. I've really missed you!! Good for you for realizing you needed a break and for not feeling like you have to go back to the "Chats"....we'll just chat this way!!! (p.s....you might find this hard to believe, but I just had you on my mind, either today, or yesterday....totally a God-thing, huh?) HOPE you have a great weekend!

I understand about not starting back up with the Chats. They will be missed, but everything has its season, a beginning and an ending.

I love the flowers in the photo, very pretty. :) Have a wonderful day!
