Chat 117

Everyday Ruralty
Hello, my friends. I hope everyone is well. It has been really cold in the mornings and a bit cool during the middle of the day. The sun has been bright and the wind has been brisk. Very brisk! Do you realize that this chat is on 11-12-13? I like numbers that are interesting.
As I took a walk, I saw feet under the door of our flat roof hay barn.

After calling out "hello", I saw the owner of the feet.

It was our silliest ewe, Pep. You might remember that I told you about her at the last chat. She's the one who found the buffet table at the Open Farm Day and was enamored with muffins. Her dream...a muffin!
QUESTIONS
  1. Would you rather sit in front of a fireplace with a roaring fire, soak in a lovely bath, or spend free time on your computer?
  2. Milk chocolate or dark chocolate?
  3. Have you ever tried a recipe from a blog or Pinterest?
  4. Do you have a guest room? If not, do you have a spare room that you use for something other than a bedroom (sewing room, office, craft area, etc)?
  5. Is your hair curly, straight, or something in between?
My answers: Wendell's too!
  1. I'd have to choose a good soak in a tub. Any of the answers would do on a different day. I don't like fire and I don't swim, but I like to blog when I can use Patrice's computer.
  2. Dark. Carrot flavored, please. Well, I said please!
  3. Yes and yes! My newest favorite recipe is a gluten free recipe for Apple Dumplings from Pinterest. Uh, Patrice? Can I get one of those Apple Dumb Things?
  4. No. We maxed out our house long ago. I grew up in a house that always had a guest room. We also had lots of guests. There is just room for us here. I won't share my stall. Sorry! No can do.
  5. My hair is thick and wavy. My hair is perfection personified! I have thick blonde hair that waves hello. Just think- Patrice and I have wavy hair. I wonder if my hair waves, will Patrice's hair wave back? Hmm?
Wishing you a wonderful week!

  1. Yay for me, I got your questions posted & answered on my new blog this morning! I have never made Apple Dumplings before, but I have gotten them at The Apple Barn and Cider Mill in Pigeon Forge, TN years ago. I use to love them. We were there over the weekend and I would have loved to gotten one, but we were getting stuff to-go. Oh well, maybe next time, right? Wendell is in rare form this morning with all of his silliness, especially on #5. His answer cracked me up. lol Thanks for hosting!

  2. Wendell is in fine form this morning...he made me laugh. My cousin who had 6 kids, built her retirement home with only 2 bedrooms, so they only had room for a few guests. The kids do the hosting.

  6. Fireplace for me.
I like dark milk chocolate. (I don't like it really dark, but I find milk chocolate too sweet.)
I'm always trying new recipes. My latest quest is for gluten free bread without junk. I think my little one is allergic to wheat.
We do have a guest room in the basement. My oldest wants to move into it. I am just not sure at this point.
I have somewhat thick, slightly wavy hair. My oldest has twice as much hair as I do - seriously.

I enjoyed your answers and Wendell is a hoot, as usual.

  11. Hahaa ... it has been too long since I've blogged and therefore participated in your chats, Patrice. To say that I've missed them, especially your and Wendall's answers, is an understatement! I LOVED the feet pic, way darling!! Have a blessed week!

  12. Fireplace please! LOVE that with a glass of Bailey's Irish cream. I used to be a milk chocolate addict but now, I'm a dark chocolate addict. LOL I have tried many recipes from blogs and a few from Pinterest. We DID have a guest room Until DoodleBug moved back home. Sigh. I still have my office though! SCORE! LOL My hair is very wavy most of the time. It will turn curly depending on the weather and the length. The shorter, the curlier. When it's long, it's too thick and heavy to curl so it's wavy.
