Chats on the Farmhouse Porch #106

Everyday Ruralty
Hello, friends! It has been cooler in the mornings, so we can have a nice chat on the porch. Wendell may join in. Someone participated in chats a few weeks ago and one of her answers revealed that she didn't know who Wendell is. Just in case- Wendell is my spoiled, rotten horse. You can see his picture on the sidebar. He's in many of the archived posts too.
We have been fortunate to have some new folks visit the porch. Don't forget to drop back at the end of the week, so you can visit with latecomers too.
Questions
  1. Do you have any type of air cleaner in your home?
  2. What do you do with the spare change you accumulate in your car, purse, pockets, etc?
  3. What's one chore you wish you never had to do again?
  4. Are you outgoing, quite, shy, reserved, or life of the party?
  5. Have you understood your parents more as you've gotten older?
My answers (with Wendell's):
  1. I have an air cleaner for dust and pollen, and another one that helps when the basement gets wet.         Oh, no! I didn't know I needed one. I guess it would be a must if the pony ate baked beans!
  2. I put it all in a decorative dish until it gets to be enough to roll.                                                              I refuse to change. I'm the perfect horse already!
  3. Ironing! I hate ironing. I don't do it often, but that only increases my happiness. I do like my clothes pressed nicely, but don't like the process! Listening to Patrice on a hard day! What a chore! What does she think I am? A horsey psychologist?
  4. Outgoing, but I sometimes choose to be reserved. I was very shy as a child. LIFE OF THE PARTY! Bring on the carrot juice and put a lampshade on my head. Dancing anyone?
  5. Yes. I think I really understand my mom now. I look at current events and I remember my grandmother shaking her head and saying "What's the world coming to? " She should see it now.:) I don't remember my parents. But I will never understand Patrice. She likes chocolate. I like carrots. She puts apples in a pie. I put apples in my mouth. She loves to rest. I like to party with the draft horses. I make up poems. She laughs at them.(Pains me! They are serious pieces of art!) I'm famous. She's not. Oh, I bet she's jealous about that one! What's this world coming to???

  3. I don't buy stuff that needs to be ironed. If something comes out of the dryer wrinkled....it goes right back in.

  4. It looks like everyone hates ironing. I do too! Unfortunately, it is a must unless one doesn't mind wearing wrinkly clothes. Thanks for hosting!

  5. Wendell, I finally went horse back riding for the first time in 28 years (after being thrown from a very gentle horse) this past week...and, despite being very nervous and stressed, it was a wonderful experience. (It helped that the horse in question was very experienced with 'scaredy cats.') I fed her carrots in your honor. Hope you and Patrice had a wonderful week.

  6. I do not care for anything laundry related. So I think ironing falls into that category. Have a great week.

  8. I was a shy child and am now a shy old lady! At almost 48 years old, I don't see that trait changing anytime soon. :)

    Have a great week!

  9. I so agree with you on No. 3. I hate ironings so I man the dryers religiously and hang everything up right away before wrinkles can set in. :) Thanks for the great hop this week.
