- Are you a heavy sleep, light sleeper, or somewhere in between?
- Are you currently reading anything interesting?
- Do you like to enter contests?
- Are you good about taking time to do things you enjoy?
- What's your favorite food to cook on the grill, or enjoy at a BBQ?
My answers:
- I used to joke that you could drive a tractor trailer over the foot of the bed and it wouldn't wake me, but having kids turned me into a moderate sleeper with radar hearing. lol
- I have downloaded about a half dozen new books to my Kindle, but I've been a bit busy and haven't started any of them yet. I'm not in a book right now. I'm not good at carrying a book for a few days. I like to know what happens, so I tend to read through.I have missed lots of sleep over really good books.
- Sometimes. I don't like contests that ask for too much information. I had fun last winter at an event that had a silent auction. I got quite a few things that evening.
- I'm rotten at taking time for myself. I did meet a sweet friend for tea/coffee two weeks ago. I need to do things like that more often. I suspect the work will always be there!
- A steak on the grill is my all time favorite. I also like shrimp on the grill, but it's not something we have often. ($$) I also like grilled veggies, especially sweet red peppers.
Have a wonderful week:)
I'm with you on reading. I have a really hard time putting a good book down until I've finished it.
ReplyDeleteI am terrible about putting a book down once I start it too. I feel like a binge reader :)
ReplyDeleteI tend to be a light to moderate sleeper. However, I can fall asleep quite easily at night. My husband, on the other hand has been known to sleep through an earthquake.
ReplyDeleteNot reading anything at the time. I don't enter contests because I never win. I can't seem to find time to do what I enjoy.
Last, I like to cook on the grill, but unfortunately am not very good at it. I am better than hubby though. I think barbecue chicken would be my best dish. I like it really gooey and dripping with sauce. Yummy!
Very nice and I like what you said, work will always be there, it is so hard to stop and do other things.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day my friend.
So glad your horses are feeling better....that had to be a bit scary for you!! I so want to really visit on your porch one of these days!!! HOPE the rest of your week is great!!!
ReplyDeleteI also have developed that radar hearing! lol
ReplyDeleteI'm a very light sleeper. I've been known to wake up when the cat walks into the room.
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about becoming a mama that makes us have radar ears, eyes in the back of our heads, & super sonic reflexes? I guess it's the love for a babies. I love steaks on the grill too & don't get me started on my reading addiction. Have a blessed week, our chats are a bright spot in my week :O)
ReplyDeleteI need to remember that work will always be there. I'm a bit compulsive.
ReplyDeletePatrice, I work so dang hard I, usually, sleep like I'm dead yet I wake easily to sounds that don't belong. I can hear a coyote from two miles away -grin-.
ReplyDeleteI'm on a British mystery kick...enjoying those.
I don't enter a lot of contests because I don't like being spammed. Generally, that's why the contests so a viable e-mail address may be obtained.
No, I'm horrible at doing things for fun...I keep hoping I'll get to a point where I can, at the very least, slow down and enjoy life, have a little fun but so far, it's still work, work, work. Thank God I'm able to work and at home/on the farm. If I had to leave the farm it would be misery.
My favorite food is whatever anyone else is fixing.
Hi Patrice-- I'm with you on the contests. If they are sweet and easy -- I do it right away but last Christmas I did one that you had to comment on 12-24 blogs and then go back and do something else, I did it but said never again. I love Pioneer Womans giveaways they are easy-- I haven't won but hey someday one of those Kitchen-Aid Mixers will be sitting on my counter top! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhen I start reading a good book I find it hard to do anything else.
I'm with you on steak too.
We co-slept and at that time I would wake up for everything, but my husband tells me I answer him in my sleep, but I don't remember!
Just finished Dan Brown's Inferno, and it was a very thought-provoking read. My sleeping habits are about as predictable as the weather. I'm not fond of contests. I try to make time to do the thungs I like to do, but it never lasts very long. Love steak on the grill and roasted veggies just like you :-)
