Hello! I can't believe that we're in the last week of February. Times flies so incredibly fast. We're awaiting the birth of another lamb, but it may be a week or more until the big day.I think Wendell is ready for spring. I regret that I was unable to get a clear picture of the boy. We have a large round bale of hay in the horse pasture. The other horses eat around the edge of the bale, but Wendell likes to stand near it and eat as close to the middle as possible. He has eaten in the same place so often, that there is a large hole at the top of the bale. Now when he eats, he sticks his head down in the hole. It looks like he's pretending to be an ostrich!
If you're new to Chats, each week I post 5 questions. You can answer the questions on your blog and add it to the link at the bottom of the page. Then visit other bloggers and share ideas.
QUESTIONS
1. Is there a room in your home that you'd like to redecorate or remodel?
2. Did you watch the Oscars?
3. How many pair of blue jeans do you own?
4. What was your favorite toy as a child?
5. If you could visit a country in Europe, which would you choose?
My answers:
- Yes. My kitchen. It's on the to-do list. We were going to totally remodel it, but we will only be painting and getting a new floor.
- No. I'm just not interested. Please indulge me while I get on my soapbox. If you disagree, please don't throw tomatoes at me. They're terrible here in the Us this time of year! I feel that the US worship of TV stars, movie stars, music people, and sports personalities is crazy. There is lots of good entertainment out there (some not so good). I feel that these people are paid way over the top and given way to high a status. I'd prefer to give better pay and credit to someone cares for those in need, defends freedoms we value, or makes life better for hard working folks. Enough said. Thanks for letting me get that out. :)
- About ten. I love my blue jeans. One pair is black, two are tan, and the rest are various shades of blue. Some are ratty and some are quite nice. I have a few jean skirts too.
- I loved dolls. I was also fond of stuffed toys. I had over a dozen that wanted to have with me at all times. I hear stories that I would move the "crew" of stuffies and dolls from room to room as I went. Apparently, I could never go anywhere in the house quickly, since this took more than one trip to carry everyone. It makes me laugh to think of a little person doing that. I hear it was a few years that I did that.
- I would visit anywhere in Europe. I guess my first choice would be the UK. I have been to England twice. I would love to see Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.
Totally agree with your "soapbox" take on the Oscars and how those people are so terribly overpaid and overrated. I always think of the poor ....orphans....who could be fed for probably years from just the cost of one dress. What a sad, mixed-up world we live in! HOPE your week is blessed!
ReplyDeleteLove the answer about your "Crew". It gave me a visual of you moving around the farm with all the horses and sheep going with you from field to field.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Ireland and Scotland too!
ReplyDeleteMy bathroom is on he redo list. It has needed it for a long time. Hopefully this year.
ReplyDeleteI am with you on the Oscars. Didn't watch it..had no interest in watching it. Not a big fan of Hollywood either.
I agree with you on the Oscars and the "Hollywood stars"!! Hope you have a great week! Sending my love to Wendell :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you on the Oscars too! Been to Europe and I wish I could go back. It was amazing. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteSoapbox away! I agree that celebrities are way overpaid and some people are way underpaid.
ReplyDeleteawww. wendell the hay ostrich. :)
ReplyDeleteHow did we let "celebrities" gain so much importance in our society anyway?!? I agree with your take on it completely!
ReplyDeleteSilly Wendell, that would be funny to see!

Hi Patrice-- I agree with you on the award shows. I also want to visit the same places as you.
ReplyDeleteLove the questions and answers -- I've always wanted to visit Italy. No Oscars or any award shows for me. I find them difficult to watch. As far as redecorating -- I thik I'd like to do our living area (dining/computer/wood stove room.) It needs a major overhall.
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to England someday, but Scotland and Ireland would be awesome, too! Enjoyed reading your answers. Have a great day! :)
