- What's your favorite thing to have in hot cocoa/ hot chocolate?
- Did you have a white Christmas? Have you had snow since then?
- Have you been looking over seed catalogs? If this doesn't apply, what kind of catalogs do you like to leaf through?
- Gas stove or electric?
- What's new or interesting?
My answers:
- Lots of whipped cream. I'm quite happy if it towers over the cup. :)
- No and no.
- We are getting them at a brisk pace, but I have only glanced at one. Since our farm manager and my hubby usually order, I'm not as involved as when I ran the green house. I love to glance at clothing catalogs and LOVE art supply catalogs.
- Gas, but I've had both.
- We have some baby pigs that were born before Christmas. They are adorable. Let me show you.
Look at the satisfied look on the mamma pig's face. She's nursing her babies and snoozing in the sunshine.
I hope you have a great week.
How cool. I have never seen a pig smile before. :)
ReplyDeletePiglets are so cute! Too bad they have to grow up.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ms. Patrice!!! I won't be joining this week, but HOPE your week is awesome!!! What a neat pic of your piggies!!! (that's what our youngest GRANDson calls his toes!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe baby pigs are adorable!!
ReplyDeleteVery cute baby pigs!! She does look like a very happy Momma pig. No snow??? Wow is that normal? Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteIt's not normal. We should have snow by now. Hopefully we will have some before spring. It helps with germs and garden pests.
Deleteahhhh ohhhh those are so dang cute!!! I can not wait to get enough money saved to finish our pens and fencing we are more than half way but other things keep coming up more important than Janice wants a farm hahha. That is great that the horses like music i can just picture Wendell sway his head to Taylor saying NEVER EVER getting back together song!!
ReplyDeleteWhen Wendell gets shooed away from the pig feeder, I think he sings "Why'd you have to be so mean".
DeleteYou're right! They ARE cute!!!! Don't make me love pigs too! First it's chickens and now it's pigs. Between you and Kim, I'm going to have to move to a farm.
ReplyDeleteI'm still grinning on the mental image of Wendell and the iPod! Nice visit on the porch today, Patrice. Thanks for hosting! I wish I could have a baby pig.....
ReplyDeleteAn electric stove for me, but I do prefer gas. I really enjoy a large dollop of marshmallow creme on my hot cocoa. The cream melts just a tad....heaven.
ReplyDeleteOops, getting all excited about joining your chats on the porch and not having the exact link, I have answered the wrong questions....will try and get it right next time.
ReplyDeleteCath @ Bits 'n Bobs
I'm just happy you joined in!
DeleteLOL Mamma pig does look like she is smiling. Tell Wendell to be careful with Taylor Swift - shes a man-eater!
ReplyDeleteI think Wendell likes Taylor because they are both blondes. :)
DeleteMama pig is too funny :O) I think all mamas love their babies close. I wish I had gas, I plan to put that in when we build. Wendell in earbuds...How funny. Would they be orange? Like carrots? Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteHe'd eat them. Then I'd have to explain what the vet saw in an x-ray!
Deletei love the cute baby piggies!
ReplyDeleteI love baby pigs. Growing up I hated pigs because my uncle made us kids take care of them and I got so tired of feeding them although it was normally the boys job. Our job was the rabbits and to this day I will never own rabbits no matter how cute they are. He had cages and cages of them and before school and after we would have to pick sacks of greens for them. Although if I ever get my little farm I do plan to have a few pot bellies or some Kune Kune.
ReplyDeleteYou should hog tie me, Patrice for not visiting sooner. Gee, where are my manners? First off, I love both hot chocolate and coffee, but I drink more java than cocoa. I only treat myself occasionally to the creamy, high calorie goodness. Nope, we did not have a white Christmas. The closest we got to snow is seeing some left-over snow piled along the road in spots. What a shame! We did a few flakes in our area right after Christmas, but no accumulation - just a light dusting. I've given up trying to grow a green thumb because everything turns black and too it's just not the same when you have to put your seeds in containers because...well, we live in the city & limited space. What's new with me? Hmmm, not a whole lot. I'm just trying to get a handle on how I want to proceed with my blog. I definitely need to make my weekly visits with everyone on your farmhouse porch. I sure do miss these chats. May all of God's blessings be yours in 2013, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHi Patrice!
ReplyDeleteAdorable piglets! My boys hope to get some piglets this spring! I have been visiting from the barn hop, and wanted to say hello & let you know how much I enjoy your blog! I love your wit and sense of humor :) I wanted to honor your creativity by nominating you for the Liebster Blog Award. Swing on by to our little homestead @ standupongrace.wordpress.com for a visit, and to see your nomination! I look forward to more front porch chats...
Blessings~ Wendy
Hi Patrice! Just came across your blog through the (in)courage site. I love the name of your blog! It truly resonated with me, because just like you, I'm a city girl who had to relocate to the countryside over here in the Philippines. I blog at http://citygirlcountryhomeph.blogspot.com, and more about me at http://citygirlcountryhomeph.blogspot.com/p/about.html
ReplyDeleteWe don't own a farm, but we sure hear them farm animals quite often!
God bless you!
Mich
Cute Piglets!!
ReplyDeleteAmber
HI There. I just found you from I Dream of Quilting blog. I'll have to join you on your next porch chat. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat cute little piggies and a happy looking mama. So sweet!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of seeds, do you have any experience with hydroponic gardening? It is something that David and I are learning about. It seems like an interesting way to grow things.
Have a great weekend!
Wow, this looks like great fun. I think I will try and join you sometime. I have recently discovered your blog and I am looking forward to visiting regularly. Thanks for coming to my blog.
