- What's your favorite Thanksgiving side dish? For anyone not in the US, what's your favorite fall side dish?
- What's the first thing you do when you have a headache?
- Do you like to "people watch"? (Observe people in public while waiting for something or relaxing)
- Where's your family most likely to eat for a day to day meal? (Read= not holiday)
- Tell me about your plans for Thanksgiving Day. Or tell me something special you will do soon.
My answers:
- I love stuffing with gravy! It has changed since I've started making it gluten free, but it's still a favorite.
- I drink water. Sounds funny, but usually when I get a headache it's because I'm dehydrated. Most of the time, the headaches go bye bye.
- It depends on what mood I'm in. If I have the time, it can be enjoyable. I usually try to fit the people into character molds so I can use them in writing projects.
- We eat in our dining room. It's comfortable and the cooking island in the kitchen rarely has room for any of us, let alone all of us! Once in a blue moon, we will eat while watching a movie, so that will be in the living room/family room.
- I'm going to cook like crazy and eat like crazy!
Love the eating like crazy idea for Thanksgiving. I don't eat "big" meals for the whole week before so I can be ready for the big day. Thanks for the tip about drinking water for a headache. I am bad about not drinking enough water and sometimes I feel dehydrated. I'm going to try that next time I get a headache.
ReplyDeleteGood Tuesday morning to you, my sweet friend!! Great idea about the water!! And, "eat like crazy"....that's my kind of thinking, too!!! HOPE you have a great day and rest of the week. Been thinking about you in thought and prayer!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat questions this week. I miss joining up - but can't do that with a private blog can I? Anyway, my favorite thanksgiving treat is our family stuffing. It's made with a pound of sausage and a pound of bacon and all the grease poured over the top. (Who says it was low calorie?)
ReplyDeleteI also like to people watch. It's actually quite fun. However, I have learned not to judge a book by it's cover. You can see someone dressed like a hoodlum and have a gentleman. (or close to one)
Day to day meals are eaten in the dining room as a family. No better place to do that, right?
I will agree - Wendell needs a comb or a brush. My daughter would love to come and brush him for you.
Patrice, I am with you on the headache cure! I drink and drink. I used to live day to day with an almost permanent headache - low level, but *there*. I began drinking water (warm, I've never been keen on cold water!) and I can count on one hand the number of headaches I've had this year. It's amazing! I begin every morning with a mug of water; then I have another one with my Tea and Toast; then one after my lunch etc etc.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I *love* people watching. I make up 'stories' in my head. Sometimes I can almost be in tears, because I think that elderly man is widowed and that's why he's doing the shopping on his own etc..... Then I see his wife waiting for him in the car, and I want to jump for joy!! Yep, I'm weird :)
Hi Patrice, so good to be back on the porch. The weather in my part of Texas is beautiful today and I plan to enjoy every minute of it!
ReplyDeleteCooking and eating! Great answer - same as mine.
ReplyDeleteHi there Patrice, I linked up. Your Thanksgiving sounds nice. I bet your food is wonderful.
ReplyDeletewendell, you are a handsome dude.
ReplyDeleteWendell looks handsome... even with a messy 'do'!
ReplyDeleteI thought Wendell was doing a Christina Aquilera impersonation :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know drinking water helps relieve a headache. I'll keep it in mind. Thanks for sharing.
