- Do you like to sing? What kind of music are you likely to sing?
- Do you watch soap operas (daytime TV), or have you ever?
- Do you wear glasses or contacts?
- What's your favorite easy meal when the weather is hot?
- Tell me something about the past week.
My answers:
- I love to. I sing most often when driving. What I sing varies according to mood, or what music I'm listening to.
- Nope. I almost never watch TV. I got into watching soap operas late in high school, when all the girls started talking about the characters and situations of one of the shows. I believe it was General Hospital. After about two years, and additional soaps, I decided to stop watching other people live their lives. I got busy with my art after realizing what a time drain TV can be.
- I have worn glasses most of my adult life. I used to wear contacts, but I don't tear enough and found it to be a hassle. I loved contacts, but I always had my little bottle of drops to keep moist. I currently have glasses, but don't need them all of the time.
- Chicken salad or chef salad. Something cool.
- I finished canning a batch of sweet relish. I made a trek to the closest Ikea to get a new bed for one of the girls and a storage closet. Too big- too crowded, and a rainy day with a pick-up truck to bring things home in. Thankfully, they sell tarps! I got lots of bags of stuff to the charity. There is SO much more to do. I finished some sewing projects, and there are plenty more waiting.
Have a Wendell week!
Hi, sweet Lady!! Thanks for letting me sit on your porch again today. It's cloudy and yucky here....hope it's sunshiny where you're at!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the soaps. Back in my teens and early days with my children, I loved the soaps. But now, if I am home alone the TV is rarely turned on. I would much rather read or craft or Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteChicken salad sounds like a great idea. In fact, anything that won't heat up the kitchen. It's way, way too hot to cook or even be in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting another week of fab questions :)
i hum or whistle more than sing. :) i never liked day soaps, but have loved the nighttime ones (dallas, in particular). i eat a lot of peanut butter and jelly on french bread or chicken salad. :)
ReplyDeleteThe furniture sounds great. You have been busy. I hope the weather has cooled down a bit for you.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Great to be back on the porch this week! All those fresh veggies in the freezer, sounds like some good meals this winter! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI record the 1 soap now & will watch only when I can't sleep but otherwise I am not watching much TV. Good luck on getting your things canned. I would love to get some jams made but we'll see. I did go thru closets a couple weeks back. Thanks for another great time on the Porch say HAY to Wendell for me! LOL
ReplyDeleteHi there! Hoping over from Janice's blog. Love the "chats" I see.
ReplyDeleteWow, I hope that you take some time to relax. I'm sure that you'll be ready for the food shortage this winter. JB
ReplyDeleteI don't sing, I almost never watch TV, and I do wear contacts/glasses....depending upon my mood for the day! lol
ReplyDeleteI'm still in the middle of purging things around here. I wonder if I'll be done by the time Thanksgiving rolls around? Probably not. I think this is the household chore that NEVER gets completed. We just have to be like the energizer bunny and keep going and going and going. LOL I cannot wait to get the picture! I'm so honored that she painted Tucker!
ReplyDeleteWow! You were a busy lady this week. Ikea never ceases to amaze me! It is always crowded... and I can almost find something to buy!
