Update on Wendell -Saturday

Spiked Carrot

"I'm not too sure about that carrot. However, it is a lovely shade of
orange and it would be a shame to waste it!"

He's eating well.

And eating, and eating, and...

Last year, he had totally crashed by this time. I'm hoping we caught this early. I'm treating him for a few different things. It's beginning to remind me of that game at Chuck E.Cheese, where the gopher pops up and you hit it with the mallet. It seems when I hit one thing, another pops up. It's all related. I just wish he would tell me exactly what he feels, but he only likes to talk to YOU on my blog.
Thanks for caring!
I promise I will post something
other than just horse updates soon.

  1. I am so glad Wendall is eating and feeling some better....What a great way to get him to take his meds...You even pulled one on the old Wendall....
I will continue to pray that Wendall will improve each day....and we never get tired of hearing about Wendall....

    Thanks for the sweet note....

  2. I love the idea of the spike carrot. Very clever idea but I don't think that you can fool Wendell. He just can't resist carrots. I'm hoping that he will his old self very soon. HAPPY EASTER PATRICE AND THE WHOLE GANG. Hugs. JB

  4. It's a good job Wendell likes carrots so much! If you tried to give my cat a spiked anything she'd soon spit out the 'spike' and eat the wrapping....
Still sending positive thoughts over :o)
Hope you all have a Happy Easter, and Wendell continues to improve.

  5. Oh, I'm so glad that Wendell is feeling better. Spiked carrots - that's a new one for me. Makes sense, though. Hope they do the trick.

  6. I'm thinking that just about any horse that is eating can't be feeling too bad. But... Wendell is one of those tough guys and just might not show it. I'm with you, I wish they could talk. It's like having a baby and rejoicing when he/she can finally tell you where it hurts.
I'll have to remember the spiked carrot if I ever have to give meds to Doc. He's a bit fussy. Pippin, on the other hand, ate his antibiotics (when he had tooth issues) whole, out of my hand, as if they were the best treats in the world!
I love having the horse updates. I'm one of those who want to know!!

  10. I doubt that anyone minds Wendell updates! I know I don't mind! How is it possible for me to be so attached to a horse I've never met in person? LOL I got your email but haven't been able to respond yet! I will though!
