Friends in a Busy, Busy World

Welcome! I'd like to give each and everyone who
visits here, reads here, or follows a bouquet. I can't
do that, but I'd like to. :)

It seems like there aren't enough hours most days. I don't know how I ever had a lot of time for friends in the past. I feel fortunate to be able to see my good friends a couple of times a year. Between jobs, travel, and family, folks are busy.

I've enjoyed meeting new people by visiting their blogs. My mom was the ultimate social butterfly. She would have loved blogs. I laugh at the idea, since she couldn't work the electric typewriter I bought her in the pre-computer/blogs days.

One of the ways that I've met bloggers with similar interests has been through blog hops. I met Katherine of Katherine's Corner at a blog hop (Java's) a year ago. I enjoy stopping by Katherine's blog. She makes lovely things, has great posts, and has managed to create a popular Thursday Hop. This week I get to be her co-host. I will enjoy the lovely people who join her on Thursdays. I'm not down with the flu, so visiting everyone will take the whole week, but I want to see if I can do it.I hope you enjoy visiting some of the bloggers on this hop. Wendell wants to hop, but I told him he could walk, trot, or canter.

I'd like  to hear about your experience (s) making friends on blogs. I feel as though I have a community in my Tuesday Chats on a Farmhouse Porch. I know there are places to be cautious about in blogworld, but let's look at the positive now.  Tell me what's been good for you since you started reading/visiting blogs.

  1. So cool that you are co-hosting with Katherine, as I have been following you both for some time now.

I love making new friends via blogging, as I am not what you would call a social person in "the real world."

Wishing you a happy Thursday, Patrice. :)

  2. For me it's all about friendships! I am so grateful for the friends I have made through blogging. I love sharing with you all. Thank you again for being my co host today xo

  4. Greetings from Jamaica Patrice! I am a new Follower from the Blog Hop. The flowers and the vase are so beautiful! It is really amazing that one can build such great friendships through the internet. I have linked up with some wonderful persons since I started blogging. Katherine is definitely one of them. Take care and have a good Thursday.

  5. I hope that you have a great time blog hopping and increase your followers. I'm sorry that I won't be hopping as I really am overwhelmed with what I have to do right now and I can barely visit all my followers' blogs when they post. It makes me feel guilty if I miss some.
Take care my friend. Hugs. JB

  6. Those flowers just make me so happy :) Thanks for sharing - If you could just send them over here, I'd enjoy them for you!

  7. Blogging has been a fantastic experience for me. I've only been at it a year, but I've learned so much about the technical side of things that I needed for my business, and I've met so many wonderful people. I even met my first independent contractor through blogging, whom I hired. Blogging is just so rewarding in every way!

  8. Hi Patrice - just stopping by from the Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop . . . . I love that picture of the bouquet! I'm sure that looks lovely sitting on your kitchen table or on a windowsill with the springtime sunshine dancing on the petals. Thanks for co-hosting today with Katherine!
