I decided to take a walk this morning. I should be painting, but my helpers both managed to catch some germies- aaaachooo! I still have lots of prep work to do, so they have plenty of time to get well. Here are some of the things I saw.
Shadow and her son greeted me, but didn't join me when they found out I was without kitty treats.
Shadow is not only lovely, but very sweet.
Molly walked quickly to the fence. She was anxious to know
where her girl (D3) was today. Sorry, Molly. She's down with the flu.
Molly was not happy about the news.
A mom and her baby were sunning themselves.
Doesn't it look like the mom has some strange hairpiece?
She has a red forelock of hair!
My little Sha-sha kept me company on my walk.
She's shadow's daughter. I love this kitty!
Then I saw this big fellow. I said hello and got this...
Ignored! Maybe he has cobwebs, too!
I like the look of the row covers. It was a bit windy and they
blew like the surface of a river or lake when there's a breeze.
I peeked inside the tunnel near the row covers and found
this healthy Toscano Kale. I love to make kale chips from it.
The sea of row covers.
Rocky was taking a sunbath, but stopped to see what I was doing.
I felt clearer when I returned to the house. A walk is always a good thing for me. The fifty trips up and down the stairs to take things to the sick girls just isn't the kind of exercise I like. I'm old fashioned when it comes to sickness. We used to have to go to bed until we felt better and were no longer going to spread it. That's the way in my house, too.
I hope you enjoyed the time together. It would have been fun to visit with someone on my walk. Sha sha is a good listener, but she doesn't contribute much.
Have a great weekend!
Your place is beautiful. I like it. Pretty animals and lovely garden.
ReplyDeleteI totally enjoyed walking with you! What a lovely place y'all have there. And lovely animals- especially Wendell---I have such a soft spot in my heart for him. I was just reading a couple of weeks ago about the energy that we humans can get from the earth. Especially when we sit on the ground or walk barefoot. Maybe that's what helped you clear your mind- the beauty and the energy from the earth itself.
ReplyDeleteoh, hope your household is back up and enjoying the sun soon!

Enjoyed seeing your animals. Wish I had a little calf, they are so sweet. Hope everyone gets over their bugs quickly. Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your walk Patrice, I love all your furry friends :o)
ReplyDeleteI hope the girls will soon be feeling much better :o)

Years ago I had cat that looked just like your Sha-Sha. Thanks for that memory.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how a walk out in the clean air can help so much? And a big plus to have all your beautiful animals to stop and visit with along the way....Your shadow reminds me of my Simon in the face....And what was up with Wendall?
ReplyDeleteI hope your kids are better soon...
Hi Patrice, thanks for the walk about your place. I love seeing the animals and the green grass. Wendell is being affected by the spring fever maybe... Wishing your girls better soon. I still haven't felt myself since my bout with the flu. I'm always tired lately and seem to have difficulty making my blogger rounds. JB
ReplyDeleteI loved going on a walk with you! Yesterday it felt like spring was on the way, this morning it is snowy and freezing. Hope the girls feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got to go on a walk and it helped you clear your head. I love seeing how you do crops. I am so sorry that you all have a bug. We have it starting here at our house too. I feel funny today, I am hoping it is allergies. I will be voting after this. I had company all day yesterday and didn't have time to get on the computer.
ReplyDeleteYour kitties are so pretty. They look like nice ones.
Rest when you can, give the girls a hug.
Oh great pictures! I got out today too, I haven't had time to get my new pics up from today, but it did feel good to get out in the air and sun.
ReplyDeleteLove the garden shots, I have been thinking about all things veggie here :)
God bless,
Allison
I always feel better after a nice walk outdoors; it clears my head and gets my blood pumping. Hope everyone is feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed sharing your walk with you and I do hope that the girlies are much, much better. I'm with you on the germs and the same is true for sharing the same straw. I don't share drinks with anyone, not even my husband. I don't want to share germs with anyone. :o) Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI TAGGED YOU!

There is nothing nicer than getting out in the fresh air, in my opinion. It does clear the cobwebs and gives one a different focus, at least for a short time.
