Hello, friends. Welcome to my porch for a little chat time. It's sunny and cool, but it's unusually warm by mid-day. A nice pot of tea can warm us up for an early chat.
I found this lovely teapot while on vacation. It was located at a tea
shop at Epcot. I really liked a tea cup that I saw, but it was $55, so it
didn't come home with me.
Here are our questions for this week:
- Stephanie asks, "What kind of competitions do you prefer to watch? Dancing, singing, or cooking?
- My Kid's Mom asks, "Do you work? Are you retired? Are you a stay at home mom?
- Empty Nester asks, "What's your favorite thing about winter?
- Homeschool on the Croft asks, "What do you love most about where you live?"
- Did you or your children(grandchildren too) ever have a dollhouse?
- Wendell asks, "If horses have blankets, why don't they get a pillow too?"
Wendell, I only ask five questions.
"Why?"
Because I want to start a conversation, not chase them away.
"If you chase them away, can I have their carrots?"
Wen! You're hopeless!
My answers:
My answers:
- I like all of the ones listed, but as a professional chef, I get a real kick out of cooking competitions.
- I am unemployed, but I work on our farm and I'm a stay at home mom. I guess the only one I can't claim is being retired.
- Winter? What's that? The weather is not acting like winter except overnight and early morning. Where's the snow? I can't remember what I like about winter. Oh- yes- cool, crisp air, breathtaking sunsets, thick fuzz on our horses, lots of hot tea and warm soup. Did I mention raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens?
- I'd say that we have four seasons, but see #3. I like our farm.
- I had a bookcase that I converted to a dollhouse. I painted it so each shelf looked like rooms. Each of my girls has a real dollhouse. I believe the oldest might have just given her to the youngest. The middle two have dollhouses made by my hubby.
- What are you talking about, Wen? You don't even have a blanket! You have lots of nice thick fur and a bank barn to go in if you're cold. I suppose you'll want a lazy boy chair as well:)
Have a great week!
I love the teapot...beautiful....
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you were a professional chef; can you come live with me?
I think you were very inventive as a child to make a bookcase into a doll house...smart child you were...
And to Wendall, tell him since you won't swing for a pillow I will knit him a hat to keep his head warm....I want to keep Wendall happy......maybe he wants a sweater too....
I really think your teapot is lovely. These are nice questions for this week. I always forget to comment when I do the linky.
ReplyDeleteSorry,
Have a lovely day today,
I love, love you teapot.
ReplyDeleteSince I have little time to post on my blog I'll answer the questions quickly here. I'm running late for work.
1. In order of preference, singing, dancing and cooking.
2. I was a stay at home mom for 4 kids. I was a ceramic teacher for 10 years. Then I bought a large ceramic studio and had 2 employees manufacturing greenware and work my butts off. I should be retired at 65 but work as a full time employee with salary at our dairy farm.
3. Dolls house were home crafted out of cardboard boxes or shoe boxes when I was small
Horses as smart as Wendell can prop their beautiful head on a nice pile of fragrant hay and have sweet dreams.
Hugs for you and Wendell. Have a great week. JB
What a gorgeous teapot.... wow!
ReplyDeleteI'll join you tomorrow with my answers - I always enjoy our chats :)
Oh, we have no snow either, but we have no warmth either!...x
That is a really pretty teapot. :) Thank you for sharing the picture with us. I hope that you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteLove the teapot! I'm a cooking show "geek" myself!
ReplyDeleteYour teapot is so very pretty. I like the touched of gold. The boys used to get a special teapot for my Hubby's mother each Christmas. My oldest said he almost got her another this year, but he realized she is short of storage space!
ReplyDelete$55 for a tea cup - cough*splutter*blargh!!
I think Wendell was dropping you a hint on the blanket, Patrice. He's beginning to sound like, If you give a mouse a cookie..., you better keep on your toes! =D
ReplyDeleteYour teapot is so-o pretty. I agree that that's a lot of money for a teacup, though.
ReplyDeleteI love the dollhouse from a bookcase - very creative!
