Chats on the Farmhouse Porch 9

Welcome back to my porch! I love having you come visit. The temperatures have been in the sixties and seventies. Flocks of smaller birds light at the same time and take off creating a shadow. How I love this time of year! The pastures are flanked by golden rod. It's an allergen for many, but I like the way it adds a touch of color.
The back of one of our horse pastures

Wendell has been quite upset with me lately. I have barely mentioned him. He's concerned that his adoring fans might go to another blog. I promised him he'd have his picture on  today. I will do a post about him for you soon. He's been very busy, but that can wait.

"It's me! I'm back. Did you miss me?"

Wendell sends horsey kisses to all, especially Empty Nester.
He dreams of going on a walk with her and her dog, Tucker.

 Tomato and Cheese Omelet

Yellow Tomato Spaghetti Sauce
There are very few tomatoes left in the garden. I have made so many tomato omelets with cheese that I think I can make them in my sleep. I decided to try my spaghetti sauce recipe using yellow tomatoes instead of red ones. They are much lower in acid. I think it made a lovely sauce with the pieces of red pepper.

Chat?
Oops! I was already chatting. Actually, I think I was babbling. Sharing? Well, let's get on to the chat for  today.

Questions
  1. Do you have pierced ears?
  2. Do you have a porch?
  3. If you could have a wish for someone you know, what would that be?
  4. There are less than 100 days to Christmas. Have you started shopping yet or doing anything to prepare?
  5. What song is going through your head lately? If you aren't being pestered by a particular song, then what are you likely to sing or hum while you work?
My answers:
  1. Yes, I do. I have multiple piercings(ears only), but I only wear two pair of earrings when the mood strikes me. I almost always wear one pair.
  2. Of course! How else could all of you lovely folks come over for a visit?
  3. I wish that my D3 could have a new camera. She's an incredible photographer and her camera up and died the other day. I'll have a post on her photos soon.
  4. I've done a little bit of shopping so the sticker shock doesn't hit me all at once. A few things jumped out and said "buy me".
  5. I keep hearing Rolling in the Deep by Adele. Then I turn on the radio and it's there. Then my youngest walks through the house singing her version, but there is that unmistakable tune! I actually like the song, but it may wear thin soon.

Rosie May and Pumpkin
We're still trying to figure out which of the girls are expecting.
If you judge by appetite, then they all must be!

Have a blessed week!

1.I used to have 7 holes in one ear. Not anymore though. I've whittle down to two on the left earlobe and three on the right. I never ever take off the gold loop I have in the very top lobe of my right ear.

2.Yes, theres a swing on the back porch and waterhoses and spiders on the front porch. Appropriate for Halloween, yes?

3.I would wish that person to know a moment of pure, pure bliss. A moment they can hold onto forever, especially during dark times.

4.I started my Christmas shopping in May! Granted, its like one gift a month so far. But I call that a good head start!

5.My mother likes to tap dance to "Where the Buffalo Roam..." Don't tell her I told you that. As for me, Sometimes I get ricky martin's song Living La Vida Loca stuck in my head. And I lip sync, not humm.

  4. I truly enjoy these chats Patrice and I wanted to tell you that your omelet looked so good, I came home and made one for myself, although I did add some black olives to it. I thought it would be relatively good for the diet - total calories if I counted right was about 500!

  5. 1. Do you have pierced ears? Well, sort of. I have two sets of holes in each ear, but they are closed. I am highly allergic to anything but real gold and couldn't afford the pretty little things.

    2. Do you have a porch? No.

    3. If you could have a wish for someone you know, what would that be? That Katie would be heald from Leukemia - but I know God's got that one!

    4. There are less than 100 days to Christmas. Have you started shopping yet or doing anything to prepare? Ummm, nope!

    5. What song is going through your head lately? Healer, by Kari Jobe

    6. If you aren't being pestered by a particular song, then what are you likely to sing or hum while you work? That depends on the day and my mood!

  7. I left that precious Wendell a message at my blog. Let me know if you still can't access it. Mrs. Tuna told me something to try so, hopefully, it's fixed!

Try looking on Craig's List for a camera or ebay. Sometimes there are some great deals there!

  8. 1.Do you have pierced ears?

Yes, I have pierced ears. I have one piercing in each ear. However, I do not wear earrings anymore. They give me a headache, as does most jewelry worn around or on one's head.

    2.Do you have a porch?

Not really. What we have is just an on-grade slab of concrete a little narrower than a regular sidewalk. It is definitely not rocking chair friendly.

3.If you could have a wish for someone you know, what would that be?

    Several things come to mind:

I would wish for my husband to be healed from diabetes and the complications that have come from that. It is my always-prayer.

I would wish for my children's dreams to come true.

I would wish for a new car for my Sis. It is what I am praying for Heavenly Father to bless her with.

4.There are less than 100 days to Christmas. Have you started shopping yet or doing anything to prepare?

No, not one single thing. There just hasn't been the money this year to work with. We'll be together and that is the important thing. If we're able to do anything further, that will be even better.

5.What song is going through your head lately? If you aren't being pestered by a particular song, then what are you likely to sing or hum while you work?

The song "A Dozen Red Roses" by Tammy Graham has been my 'ear-worm' this week. It is a sad song about a girl that gets a dozen roses on her wedding day. She reads the card and sees that they are from her daddy. He died when she was a little girl. Here is the video:
