Jack Sparrow and the Chicks

I want to share pictures of the new baby chicks with you. They look so quiet and docile in these photos that you'd hardly believe that I had trouble getting the shots. These little peeps move SO FAST! I almost needed a movie camera!

Posing?

So cute!

What a profile!

This is the first one hatched.

My daughter's favorite baby chick is one she named Jack Sparrow. After watching Pirates of the Caribbean, she noted that this cute little guy staggered around like the rum induced walk of Jack Sparrow.
I walked in to find D3 doing her schoolwork with Jack Sparrow. I wonder if there's a sparrow somewhere named Jack Chicken. ??? The little chick walked all over her lap and stumbled a couple of times. She looked up from her book and said, "Without a drop of rum." She returned to her book before I even started laughing at her comment. The chick must be a close relative of mine because I'm notoriously clumsy! Don't tell anyone I said that. Okay?
A big yellow bookmark?

Five days old and being home schooled already!

***Barn Chicks who Blog will be back soon. Folks are busy and I need some new lady farm bloggers. Any ideas?
