Somebody was moving slowly and favoring his right front leg. Somebody is a big hunk who eats too much. After too many carbs, he managed to get a case of laminitis. He'll be okay. He'll have to be kept in his stall and heavily bedded with straw to act as a cushion for his legs. He'll be on an anti-inflammatory for a while. His diet will change and he will begin to shed some of that chunkiness. I don't like the sound of this. What chunkiness? Mom, have you looked in the mirror lately? Does this mean I don't get an Easter basket?
Chip and Molly visited with him for a while this afternoon. Molly wouldn't cooperate for the picture. It's really cute to watch our horse interacting as friends. After an hour or so, Molly and Chip remembered they had reservations for dinner.
Do you think they can bring him carry-out?
Get well soon !
