Farm and Fashion

Generally speaking, we are a Carhartt family. One exception is the farm coat that D3 uses. It's a different brand and it's pink. Well, it was pink before horses slobbered on it and a baby calf spilled milk from her bottle.

The other day, D3 was having a horseback riding lesson. She has a wonderful teacher, who comes to our farm. She not only teaches her riding, but she also teaches her to train horses.

They were busy with a lesson when something appeared at a distance. Was it a large cotton candy? What in the world did they see? The instructor took one look and said, "What the ..."

It was D2. Doesn't everyone dress like this on a farm? When you're training to be an opera singer and you are fortunate enough to be raised in the heart of agriculture, "the world is your stage!"

Her own horse thinks only of his tummy!

Princess is a copycat. Copyhen?

"Is the world my stage?"

  1. Hilarious! Especially the pig....'Is the world my stage?'!! Isn't it wonderful not to have close neighbours... well, except those who oink, neigh or cackle!

  2. So funny! I can relate to the Carhartt jacket. I once shopped at Neiman-Marcus, now it's Southern States and Tractor Supply.

  7. I can not say anyone around me has ever desired to be an opera singer. (Although there is an Opera house close by...)

  9. Our daughter did a photoshoot with her horse before she sent her wedding dress to the cleaners...she had her boots on and it was terrific. I see nothing wrong with dressing like that around the farm!
