One of our new calves has now been named Brie. Momma isn't a great milk producer, so Brie is now getting a bottle twice a day. I think there is something so cute about the little ones with milk on their mouthes!

  1. Oh what a cute baby! Brie! Too cute!

  2. I always loved feeding calves when they get the milk foam on their mouths. I always loved that part and then when they shut their eyes like it is the best stuff ever. I think that is a beautiful little calf. The only thing better is bummer lambs. I loved those too.
Just curious, why do you keep a cow that isn't a good milk producer? Is she a pet? I hope that isn't a cheeky question. I read it to my husband and he asked well how well do you know her?
I think pretty well, I think. I hope you got to sleep today.

  3. Such a precious and beautiful gift for your family. I was just thinking today of all the things that make me smile and often giggle . . . baby calves are included as one of my favorites!

  4. When I take my grandchildren to the 4-H fair grounds in the summer their favorite thing they like to do is let the baby calve suck on their finger. One time they were able to feed them a bottle.. Oh they were so delighted ~!
ta ta for now from Iowa

  5. I miss those faces! It was fun to feed the dairy calves, especially the new ones. Well, it was fun when the weather was nice ;-)

  6. Oh I’m in love--what a cutie pie. I love to bottle feed farm babies :)

  7. Nothing finer than a new-born, healthy calf in winter. Enjoy!

  8. I agree - very, very cute!

Our next-door neighbors usually have a few calves in the summer to bottle feed, and my boys love to go over and watch/help with this chore. :)

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog and leaving such an encouraging comment. It's always fun to "meet" new friends in the world of blogging!

    Have a wonderful week!
