I'd like to introduce you to Patches

This is Patches.
She belongs to D3.
I'm talking about a cat, so maybe I should say that D3 belongs to Patches!
Look at the amazing markings on this kitty.
She was named Patches because she looks like a patchwork quilt.

She's one of the sweetest cats we own. She was a feral kitten and my daughter tamed her. She's afraid of her own shadow, scared of our other cats, and fascinated with the big dog. We seldom see Patches during the day, because she's hiding from the other indoor cats. She appears at night and joins anyone in the bathroom. Thus she has gained the nickname of "bathroom monitor." She's normally a very quiet cat, but at bedtime, it's her purpose in life to meow extra loud until D3 goes to bed. Then Patches can curl up on the quilt. The dogs are not allowed upstairs, much to the relief of the cats. Patches likes to sneak down the stairs and peek at the dog. It makes me think of folks who go to a really scary movie. You know it's scary, but your curiosity gets the better of you. I prefer a comedy movie. If the cat wasn't so scared of Lady, she'd realize that the dog is kind of funny!

Three more days until Bloganza, the giveaway where one winner wins all the prizes from the participating bloggers. Cool, huh?

  2. Such a pretty kitty! I liked the correlation to a scary movie. You know what they say: Curiousity killed the cat.. Let's hope not in this case! :)

  4. We have a cat like that only her name is bobbi, because of her bobbed tail.

  8. Well if we joined for our blog addictions then one of the fringe benefits was to be skinny, Here I come. I had been reading cookbooks. It scares me when I am sick and food still calls me name. You sure made me laugh.
