I finished my project!
I'm a person with good intentions. I am, however, time challenged. I often want to do something or be involved with a project, but I get busy or ... (fill in the blank with the excuse of your choice Be nice, now!)
Many of the things I intend to do never happen or just don't get finished. D2 knows a blogger teen who has organized folks to knit, crochet, or sew hats for an orphanage in Romania. I learned to knit last year. I enjoy it, but I am quite slow. I knew that sewing has always been a default for me. It's easy and I knew I could get the project done quickly. My intent was to make 2-4 polar fleece hats. They were so easy and I had enough polar fleece that I just kept sewing. I finished 12 hats and I'm mailing them to the group that will send them on to the children. Those hats came out so cute I may make more one day. I'm happy today!
The kids will be blessed because of your kindness and gift of time and effort! Way to go!

ReplyDeleteHi Patrice,
ReplyDeleteI think you & I were twins separated at birth because I know EXACTLY how it is; you have the best of intentions in the beginning and then...whatever happens, and then it's two months later and oh why, didn't I ever finish that?! In any event, the hats are DARLING!! In fact, I'm such a nut that I want 8 tiny ones for my chickens :-) Seriously, you did a GREAT job and I'm so proud of you! Thank you for inspiring me...have a GREAT weekend!
Way to go! I am also one who wants to do a gazillion great things only to find myself to busy to finish once I start. I think my husband has given up on the pajama pants I started making him .... FIFTEEN years ago! LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey look stunning! How helpful and lovely of you.
ReplyDeleteWe hope you are having a great weekend :)
Love, Bella & Ollie.
