I went on errands with D2 yesterday. While we were out, the sky turned to a dark, looming gray. Within minutes, it was raining quite hard and there was a terrible wind. We made our way home with the help of a few prayers.

We pulled up in front of the house and ran inside. I announced to the family that the weatherman said there were tornado warnings for our area. I'm terrified of tornadoes, but that's another post!
Do you know what three of the four members of my family who greeted us heard????

I said tornado warnings.
They heard...

They heard me say
Tomato warning!

Note: These tomatoes were on my counter on August 3rd. Canning, canning, and more canning! I have a bushel and a half more coming in tomorrow to make ketchup. It's no wonder my family has tomato on the brain. Did I tell you that C.S. Farmer and crew picked 25 bushels the early part of the week?

  1. Patty: Glad you got some rain and survived without much damage! Tell CS and D1 to take a good look around tomorrow am. Massive devastation. We're without power but unharmed. We had 2 massive trees fall across our street and it was totally blocked until late last night. We had 70+ MPH winds in our neighborhood.

Hope all is well with the fam.
